Yaaradi Nee Mohini narrates the success of true and strong love with Dhanush and Nayantara playing the lead roles. The story is written and directed by Selvaraghavan and the film was a super-hit in Telugu. Mithran R. Jawahar, associate of Selvaraghavan, is handling the Tamil remake. Yuvanshankar Raja has given soulful music to Yaaradi... Keeping youthful romance as the inspiration, Yuvan has composed all the songs with a melodious touch.
'Oh Baby' is a tantalizing number. With an assured tempo and rendering the song makes the first good impression in the album. It is of course a group effort by Naveen, Hari Charan and Bhargavi; all the voices strike in unison and generate a pleasant effect.
'Yengeyo Partha' is by Udit Narayan. Amazing is the fact that it is the same Udit who sang the romantic 'Sahana' in Sivaji. Though slow-paced, Udit gives the song so much of life. As usual, his Tamil diction imparts a special flavour.
'Nenjai Kasaki' is by Udit Narayan and Suchithra. Udit's soft and silky tone is exactly in contrast to Suchithra's bold timbre. The rhythmic pattern is greatly inspired by 'Dol Dol' in Pokkiri, one of Suchithra's greatest hits.
'Oru Nalaikul' is by Karthik and Reeta. Refreshing and soft, the music is soothing and the experience, rewarding.
'Venmegam', in Hariharan's sweet voice is one song in which the singer's involvement and his perfection-seeking attitude are perceptible. The song leaves a pleasant impression in every other listener's mind.
Yaaradi Nee Mohini's music should be an asset to the film and a sure hit among the young at heart.
