The Hindi movie Rangeela directed by Ram Gopal Verma, starring Aamir Khan and Urmila, created a sexy starlet out of Urmila. She transformed from a innocent-looking girl to a sizzling and talented actor. That film was a landmark in several ways. Rahman's music, Urmila's style and of course, Aamir's amazing 'tapori' performance made the film memorable.
The film is now being remade in Kannada. And who is playing Urmila's role? Well, it is heard that it is heard that it will be Kollywood babe Namitha. The actress, who is very busy with her Taml films, has stoutly denied this. She says that she is very busy with her Tamil projects and wants to concentrate only in those films. Her upcoming projects include Indra Vizha, 1977, Perumal and Pandi.
Her English film Maya is ready for release and is expected to hit the screens soon.
