Multifaceted actor Nasser has directed a short film which will be released in Singapore. The short film is about the present-day situation where parents do not find time to spend with their children and the effect it has on the children. Nasser’s third son Abi plays the role of the boy who yearns for his parents’ attention.
Talking to the press, Nasser said that the film is about a univeral problem. There are several children who have every comfort that many persons of the older generation could not even have imagined when they were children, but still do not have the basic human need – a confidante of their own. “The youngster in the film finds solace in the company of an old man, who makes him understand that his parents too feel just like him and the sacrifices that they are making are for his secure future,” said the veteran actor.
The short film stars Nasser and Aruna in the role of busy parents. Veteran Malaysian actor Jamlie Sadath plays the role of the boy’s confidante. This film will be released in Malay language in Singapore.
Given the way Nasser has expressed his creative feelings and his choice of subject, it shows that he has the talent to become one of the best directors of Kollywood. It only makes one wish it happens soon.
