Nila , alias Meera Chopra in Telugu, who debuted with Anbe Aaruyire opposite S.J. Suryah in Tamil, has gone on to do some remarkable movies such as Vaana in Telugu, though they didn’t bring her the recognition she was due.
A normally cautious girl, Nila is very selective about the movies she signs. But she was horrified when the shooting of the Tamil movie Killadi was stalled due to some financial reasons; but now it’s started up again, allowing Meera/ Nila to breathe a sigh of relief.
Her Telugu debut was Satyam Sivam Sundaram (Telugu) opposite Nitin,which was delayed. It was actually Pawan Kalyan’s Bangaram (Telugu) that introduced Nila to Telugu audiences. Now she has signed up to do a movie with Sharwanand, who received some rave reviews for his performance in Gamyam (Telugu). This as-yet untitled movie is expected to boost both Nila’s as well as director Chandra Siddharth’s careers.
Nila’s fortune is now looking up as she has signed on to act in the remake of the 1978 classic Jaganmohini starring debutant Raja and super hot sex symbol Namitha. Jaganmohini is simultaneously being remade in Telugu.
With Jaganmohini’s two versions in simultaneous production, Killadi opposite Bharath having resumed and an untitled Telugu flick under Chandra Siddarth’s direction, Nila’s career is definitely set to go places.
