Earlier, we reported that the Bala-Pooja duo will team up again after Naan Kadavul for Bala's Avan Ivan with Arya and Vishal. But the latest buzz is that the National award winning director has signed Janani Iyer for the female lead and is in search of another heroine; Pooja is not in the picture.

Unlike his previous movies Pithamagan (2003) and Naan Kadavul (2009), which won several awards and acclaims in various arenas, Bala's forthcoming Avan Ivan will be a full-fledged commercial film with the definite aim to make a profit.

Starring Arya and Vishal in the lead roles, the film will start rolling shortly and will be completed within six months. Avan Ivan is produced by AGS Entertainment. Yuvanshankar Raja scores the music. Announcing the launch of Avan Ivan recently, Bala, who won the best director award for Naan Kadavul at the 56th National Film Awards, promised more humour in Avan Ivan, a story about two siblings.
