While his Yaaradi Nee Mohini is steadily raking in the big bucks, Dhanush’s next film Padikkadhavan, which went to the floors on Saturday, ran into unexpected trouble.
It is reported that Gemini Labs, which was supposed to do a film with Dhanush, had earlier lodged a complaint in the Producers' Council stating that Dhanush had dishonoured his commitment with them by acting in another film while he was actually supposed to act in their production. The Producers' Council, after talks with both parties, had advised the actor to act under Gemini Labs first before going ahead with his other films.
Meanwhile, trouble erupted when Vijaya Productions, which is making Padikkadhavan, announced that it was starting its film on Saturday. On coming to know of this, Gemini Labs complained to the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) which resulted in the production being stalled.
However, after talks at the Producers' Council, it was decided to let the unit complete the first schedule as stalling production would result in heavy losses to Vijaya Productions. Following the talks, the production resumed by evening.
