A great deal of news regarding Parthiban’s absence during the audio launch of Vallamai Thaaraayo has been making its rounds. While both the director and the producer of the movie have stated that right from the beginning they have been giving the veteran actor-director his due recognition and respect, the actor seems to have found an err on their part.
In a letter from Parthiban to the media, he has stated clearly that the reason he did not turn up for the event was because his name had been left out in both the Audio Launch Invite as well as the movie’s trailer. Hurt by this, the actor decided to keep away from the audio launch altogether. Nevertheless, he never went public with his decision prior to the launch. However, his absence did not go by unnoticed and media mouths were drawing various conclusions.
Being a director and producer himself, Prathiban states that he is well aware of the hardships a debutante director and a novice producer can encounter. Hence he leant his expertise to the Madhumitha and her producer dad. He even appears to be absolutely sure that the movie will do well in the box office and that Madhimutha will be praised. But the oversight on their part in the invite and trailer have done the damage.
Problems and misunderstandings within the cine industry is quite a common occurrence. Just as they have reasons to part ways, soon they will find new ones to get back together. If only the media had not drawn too much attention to the actor's absence, the issue would most certainly have not been blown out of proportion.
