After a great run in Malayalam films, another Malayalam beauty hits Tamil screens. Parvathy, who has been an anchor on Kiran TV and has also done a few roles in Malayalam movies, is now wowing Tamil audiences with her portrayal of a young rural girl in love with her cousin in Poo.
Already, she has been praised by her colleagues for having attempted to dub her own voice in her very first Tamil film. She visited women in the match factories of Rajapalayam and spoke to them, wanting to get under the skin of the character that she was playing. She didn't visit a beauty parlour for almost 2-3 months before starting her shoot and used dark tan makeup to get the sunburnt look down pat.
Defining the image of the rural village belle from Nellai in her maiden Tamil film, she credits director Sasi with having gotten the best out of her. The director too describes her as the heart and soul of the film, complimenting the young actor as being dedicated and passionate about her art.
Parvathy has also made some inroads into Kannada cinema and we at Galatta.com are sure that Tamil filmmakers would not want to let this gem go after director Sasi has revealed this blossom in Poo.
