Not the movie, but the novel! A few years ago, Sujatha’s novel titled Pirivom Sandhipom, appeared in a Tamil weekly magazine as a serial. But it so happens that Karu Pazhaniappan’s movie with the same title does not have the same story!
However, Sujatha’s novel is being made into a movie - Gandhi Krishna’s Anandha Thaandavam! The director says that every week, he would wait impatiently for the next episode in Sujatha’s Pirivom Sandhipom, and when the story ended, he knew that he just had to make it into a movie. But, he was late in registering the name – Karu Pazhaniappan beat him to it. Nevertheless, Gandhi Krishna vouches that Anandha Thaandavam is an equally suitable title.
About the story, he is not willing to reveal details. For those who have not read Sujatha’s novel, this will come as a whiff of fresh air. Not entirely a love story, yet he promises it will tug at our heart strings! Leading lady Tamana has performed well, he lauds. As has debutante Siddharth, the male lead.
