Three talented people have come together for the music of Pollaadhavan. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed three tracks, while Dhina and Yogi B. have composed each of the remaining songs.
G.V. Prakash has composed the music for 'Alibaba Thangam', 'Neeye Sol' and 'Minnalgal Koothaadum'.
Written by Yugabharathy, 'Alibaba Thangam' is a fast-paced number sung by the husky-voiced Suchitra. The music of the song overshadows the lyrics.
'Neeye Sol', undoubtedly the most melodious song of the album, is a soulful romantic duet rendered by Sunitha Sarathy and Ponni. Vairamuthu's beautiful words have been set to hip-swaying, Arabian-like music by the bright Prakash.
'Minnalgal Koothadum' is another duet rendered with lots of passion by Karthik and Bombay Jayashree. The music brings out the emotions expressed by Muthukumar's words.
Sung by Shankar Mahadevan, 'Padichi Pathen' is a Dhina signature tune. Kabilan's lyrics exude the local colloquial flavour. It is a song full of fun and fervour.
Yogi B. has done a great job with the remix of legends M.S. Viswanathan-Kannadasan composition 'Engeyum Eppothum'. S.P. Balasubramanium, who sang the original number, has rendered the remix version as well, accompanied by Sunitha and Yogi B. The intermittent lyrics by Yugabharathi and the rapping by Yogi will definitely make this song a club favourite.
