The audio of Poo was released today by eminent writer Tamil Selvan (on whose novel the film is based). It has been a long time since a writer released the audio of a film, which made this audio release something special. Every participant evinced his or her happiness about a beautiful literary work being converted into a film. They all lauded the effort of Tamil Selvan, director Sasi, and Moser Baer CEO Dhananjayan.

Moser Baer CEO Mr. Dhananjayan welcomed all the guests. Then the audio was released by Tamil Selvan and the first copy was received by director Vasanth. After this, three songs from the film and its trailer were screened to the delight of the elite audience.

Songs and their picturisation are incredibly beautiful. The three songs screened are as follows:

‘Sivakasi Rathiye’ has very good lyrics written by debutante Gnana Karavel. ‘Avaram Poo’, a melodious duet penned by Na. Muthukumar and sung by Chinmayi, is excellent. The third song, ‘Choo Choo’, is a chirpy song that takes everyone back to their childhood. Poo's music has been composed S.S. Kumaran, a musically-inclined student of Adayar Film Institute. 

Director Vasanth, who is Sasi’s guru, praised him profusely for his beautiful presentation and choice of subject. He also pointed out that Sasi too has a penchant for introducing new actors like him (Malayalam actress Parvathy is introduced to Kollywood through Poo).

VIP guests who attended the function: A bevy of directors comprising Ameer, Kadhir, Bala, Mahesh, Mysskin, Subramania Shiva, Lingusamy, Balaji, S.S. Stanley, and Praveenkanth; writer Vanna Nilavan, Bava Sellathurai, Sakthivel, Thilakavathy IPS; heroes Jiiva, Srikanth, and Jayam Ravi; and the team of Poo.
