Fancy titles seems to be the trend today – how far the movie plot relates to the title is a whole other debate! Well, joining the line of queerly-titled flicks is Insight Media’s Poochandi! The title alone makes you flinch, but the irony lies in the fact that it is a children’s movie!
The film has a set of newcomers playing the lead roles and is the directorial debut of Ashokraj, who worked as associate to Praveenkanth and A.R. Murugadoss. Music is by Vijayraj and songs have been written by Vairamuthu, Snehan, Punniya and Karunanidhi.
Shooting for the movie took off at the Nadigar Sangam a few days ago. Let’s wait and watch if Poochandi will lure folks to the theatre or scare them away!
