Rajathi Raja’s press meet took place at Four Frames, Nungambakkam. Sakthi Chidambaram, Raghava Lawrence and Karunas took part in this meet. Director Sakthi Chidambaram briefed everyone about the film, while Lawrence and Karunas shared their experiences.
Sakthi Chidambaram said that this film will be slightly different from his earlier works, which were complete comedy films; the first half will be full of comedy and the second half will be on a serious note. The second half, he said, will be very thrilling because of its fast-paced screenplay.
He also lauded Raghava Lawrence’s benevolence and involvement in social work. He said Raghava's character in Rajathi Raja is very similar to his real life persona. Lawrence plays a man who strives hard to uplift his downtrodden neighbourhood. He helps some neighbours to realize their dreams. The twist in the tale comes at the end of the film, which the director was not willing to share. Nothing much was revealed about the second half to retain the suspense and thereby keep the interest levels high.
Karunas teams up with Lawrence to take care of the comedy in this film. Six heroines – Kamna Jetmalani, Kiran, Meenakshi, Mumtaj, Samiksha and Snigdha – come together in this film for the first time in Kollywood, which provides ample amount of glamour.
