Raman Thediya Seethai deals with the revival of a capable young man who goes through a phase of depression. Help comes in the form of a Radio Jockey who is visually challenged. The RJ's optimistic messages and projections bring success and marital bliss to the hero, forming the rest of the plot. Vidyasagar's tunes for Raman Thediya Seethai are a mixed bag. The composer's rendition for a song is the highlight of the album.
Without any intro music begins 'Enna Pulla', a sorrowful song. There is already enough pathos in the tune and lyrics plus Vidyasagar's tone evokes the apt mood. 'Ippave Ippave', the next song in the album, is a pure melody. Sung by Madhu Balakrishnan and Harini, the song gently caresses listeners' hearts. The music picks up tempo in the second half of the song. Next comes 'Mazhai Nindra', based on a semi-classical tune. Kalyani's tone surges with a cheerful spirit, touching the highest and lowest octaves in the tune effortlessly. Karthik has sung the next melody, 'Nanba Nanba'. The tune as well as the youthful lyrics complement Karthik's soulful voice. 'Vaanathai' is by Tippu. The dedicated singer attempts to do some unique modulations in his voice for this particular number and the result is just enjoyable. 'Dj Dj Disco Podu', a Western tune sung by Suchithra and Benny, distinctly differs from all other numbers in the album.
Raman Thediya Seethai album has just what listeners anticipate.
