The entire unit of Raman Thediya Seethai was confidence personified at the press meet held at the Green Park hotel yesterday. Raman Thediya Seethai stars Cheran in the lead role along with Pasupathy and Nitin Sathya. The film has five heroines – Karthika, Vimala Raman, Ramya Nambeesan, Gajala and a guest appearance from Navya Nair.
Directed by Cheran’s protégé Jagannath, who has earlier directed Pudhiya Geethai and Kodambakkam, with music by Vidyasagar, the film is produced by Global One Studios Production and is presented by Moser Baer.
Talking about the film’s title, Dhananjayan, COO of Moser Baer, said that the title was suggested by the hero Cheran himself while the crew were racking their brains for a perfect title.
Cheran said that he committed to lend a helping hand to his protégé, who, despite having made two interesting films, was treated unfairly at the box office. The director-actor said that he was always interested in doing films that were true to life and this film too would be similar.
Cheran also clarified that including five heroines in the film was not just a gimmick; he justified the move, saying the storyline demanded it. He also was of the opinion that this film would be a breakthrough for its director Jagannath.
Pasupathy said that he fell in love with the character when the director narrated the story and did not want to miss out being in the film. He added that he was literally pestering the director to start shooting as soon as possible. Nitin Sathya said that he was glad to be working with achievers like Cheran and Pasupathy.
Director Jagannath thanked all the stars for their cooperation and the media for their extensive support. He assured that his film be a complete family entertainer. The film’s cinematographer Rajesh Yadav and the female leads, Karthika and Ramya Nambeesan, also spoke during the function.
