Rambha is deeply hurt by malicious rumours pertaining to her circulating in Kollywood. Rambha spoke to Galatta.com at length and asked us to convey the truth and her message to her fans.
The Truth: Last Monday, beautiful actress Rambha was hospitalized after complaining of queasiness and abdominal pain. Doctors diagnosed gastroenteritis (food poisoning) and treated her accordingly with suitable antibiotics. Rambha had fasted the previous day (Krishna Jayanthi), which made this gastroenteritis more virulent. After administering the treatment, she was discharged from hospital and advised to rest. She was better the next day and has recovered now. She is back to her daily normal activities, which includes rigorous aerobic exercises and yoga in the morning.
But some people are longing for a role in a new film, a role which is likely to go to Rambha, have maliciously used this situation to their advantage. They spread the rumour that Rambha was hospitalized due to an alleged suicide attempt (which is a blatant lie) and even now, they are maintaining the lie by saying that Rambha is highly troubled by her creditors, which led to her alleged suicide attempt.
But the truth is quite the opposite: Rambha owes money to nobody, in fact there are quite a lot of persons who owe her money, especially some producers. Rambha is so magnanimous that she did not even complain to Nadigar Sangam. She still has the cheques issued by them which bounced. She said that she is well off in spite of this outstanding amount (about Rs. 5 lakhs). She added that she is very close to her family members who have taken good care of the money she had earned so far by wise investments. Her economical status is no way in any peril. But people with malicious intent vilifying her -- this has hurt her very badly. She is worried these rumours might jeopardise her career, which is soaring high. Rambha is acting in Vidiyum Varai Kaathiruppom alongside Prakashraj, and will sign another film very soon.
The irony is that Rambha knows very well who has started this malicious rumour; these "intelligent" people even called her and told her that this rumour is circulating in the city well before it came out in any newspaper or any other medium; maybe they could not wait for the thrill! Rambha is extremely surprised at their cheekiness and hypocrisy; she is not able to understand how they can backbite and malign like this after behaving in a very friendly manner when in her company. But Rambha is a very placid and soft-hearted egalitarian (beleving in the equality of all) who is highly forgiving. And she wants to be friendly with everyone.
Rambha’s message to her fans: Hi fans! I love you all. I need your support and your prayers to fight these baseless rumours.
The persons spreading these malicious rumours about Rambha are in fact helping her become more news centric and gain more fame! This will lead to her getting more and better roles like Shilpa Shetty's career zoomed after the Big Brother incident. Oops! Their action has backfired!
