Noted film historian and writer Randor Guy was felicitated with the Gnana Samudhra Award for 2007 on November 11th, 2007.
The honour was bestowed on him by the well-known Fine Arts Magazine "Samudhra" in recognition of his contribution to Cinema and its history. The award was presented on the 5th Anniversary of the magazine at the Mylapore Fine Arts Auditorium.
