Ravi K. Chandran, whose cinematography has won him accolades, has found himself a place in the 2008 Kodak International Cinematographers' Calendar.
Saawariya may have bombed at the box office, but the pictures and colours as rendered by Ravi K. Chandran are absolutely amazing – surreal even. And it is a scintillating still from this movie that has found a place in the calendar. He has expressed his immense joy at being featured alongside his idols such as Stararo and Deakins. This is not only a proud moment for Ravi, but for Indian cinema as well, because this is the first time an Indian cinematographer has been thus honoured by Kodak!
On the work front, Ravi just completed Nandita Das’ directorial debut In Such Time and is busy with the Hindi remake of Ghajini. He will soon start work on Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan that stars the King Khan and his best onscreen pair, Kajol.
