It was reported by the media that ‘Action King’ arjun has been approached to play the villain in Shankar’s Robot. Robot, which stars Rajinikanth in the lead role, is touted be the first sci-fi film in Kollywood.
The story reportedly revolves around a scientist who invents a robot to serve the people. However, the robot goes out of control and in the end, the scientist decides to destroy his brain child.
The role of the scientist is to be played by Rajinikanth. However, it is the role of the robot that has been inviting rumours from day one. While some say that the superstar himself will be playing both man and machine, others have been tossing names on who is likely to play the role. It is in this context that the name of Arjun came up.
Since Arjun is said to be on good terms with Shankar, having acted in his Gentleman and Mudhalvan, insiders said that the unit had approached the ‘Action King’ for the role.
However, now Arjun has clarified from Mumbai that he has not been approached by the unit. The actor, who says that he is currently busy with Durai and Aruvadai, however sidestepped questions on whether he would act in Robot if the offer came his way.
