We do know that certain actresses are actively involved in supporting the needy. Prominent among them are actresses Khusbu, Rohini and Revathy. They have been a part of many a show conducted for deserving causes.
Now, the trio are to take part in the Mumbai marathon to raise funds for an organisation that takes care of the mentally challenged. The Mumbai marathon, a popular event that brings marathon runners from various places across the world, is being held on January 20 this year.
Khusbu, Revathy and Rohini will run alongside Bollywood star Viveik Oberoi to raise funds for Chennai-based Banyan, an organisation that takes care of the mentally-challenged. The NGO has about 400 persons in its care. The funds raised by these socially conscious actresses will help the organisation meet its expenses.
Revathy has been associated with Banyan for a long time. Many prominent celebrities like A.R. Rahman have conducted shows to raise funds and help the organisation.
