The South Indian Film Cinematographers' Association held an awards night to honour actors and actresses in the four South Indian languages -- Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada -- for 2006-2007. The awards night was held at Nandhanam YMCA ground on May 01, 2008.
The function was organized by SICA along with GV films. The names of the winners were announced in this gala function which featured many stars from the South Indian film industry. Vineeth, Shaam,Suneil Shetty, Reema Sen, Namitha, Sangeetha, Sherin, Lakshmi Rai, Nila and Poorna presented scintillating performances. The big guns of the South Indian film industry were present during the event.
The most prominent among them were cinematographer-director Balu Mahendra, music director Viswanathan, Tamil film producer council president Rama Narayanan, producers R.B. Chowdary, D. Rama Naidu, actors Sathyaraj, Prakashraj, Madhavan, Parthiban, Jiiva, Karthi, and Saikumar with his wife Disco Shanthi, actresses Priyamani, Naethra, Sandya, Bhavana, Kavya Madhavan, Kanihaa, veteran actresses Manorama and Jayanthi.
