The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), a voluntary movement to spread awareness of India's rich cultural heritage amongst the youth, will be having concerts and dance performances all over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry in February and March 2008.
The formal inauguration of the concert series will be held tomorrow (15th Feb) at the MSE Campus, Chennai. A concert by noted Carnatic flute exponent Shashank will kick off the series.
In addition to this, famous Kathak classical dance exponent Rani Karna will be touring Tamil Nadu to perform at many schools and colleges in the first week of March 2008.
