Naming films after games and sports is a newfound love of Kollywood. For example, we have had Kabaddi and Ghilli, and there is one more coming up – Vennilla Kabaddi Kuzhu. Now, a film has been named after a famous game played by children – Saa Boo Three. Do not judge a book by its cover and do not judge a film by its title; this film’s title might give you a feeling that it would be a typical light-hearted film, but it is not. It is a serious romantic thriller joining myriad thrillers being churned out by Kollywood frequently.
The film introduces three new faces to Kollywood – Akshay, Smiley, and Sarah. According to its director Arshad Khan, who is also its story, screenplay and dialogue writer, it has the right amount of romance and thrill to entertain people. Arshad Khan has worked as an assistant director in Manathodu Mazhaikkalam. Cinematographer Sanjay takes care of the camera work of this film. Music is by Abbas Rabi.
Apart from being named after a game, another interesting fact is that this film is produced by three software engineers – Prasanna, Rajesh and Sunitha Ojha (under the banner of Wizard Media Works). Every one fancies a job in the software industry for various reasons such as good pay, ergonomically-designed work environment, etc. From now on, there might be one more reason which will lure them to this field: Film production in the latter part of one's software career!
