Sanda follows the well-tested premise of mother-in-law vs. son-in-law and director Sakthi Chidambaram has come up with a script that has all commercial ingredients to satisfy all sections of the audience. Newcomer Ragini and Namitha are the two heroines in Sanda. Dhina's music for Sanda is perfectly in coherence with the action- theme. Most of the songs have used modified versions of older tunes. Director-turned-hero Sundar C. has rendered a song in his own voice.
'Aathadi', by Devprakash, has a rustic feel. The tune reminds one of the 'Thiruvizha' numbers often played during temple festivals in the village. Devprakash's voice heightens the feel.
Both Anuradha Sriram and Udit Narayan add a zingy ring to 'Madurakkara Ponnu', another song with a folksy feel; its USP is the lyrics in the chorus.
Reeta and Shaan sing 'October Mathathil', a romantic melody. The popular lines 'Naan Illamal Aval Illai' emphasize the mood.
'Pokkirina Vijayada' is typically in Simbu's style sung by Silambarasan himself. Peppy, fast-paced and an effective 'Kuthu' number, it seems to be the title-song that refers to the film's original name (Porukki).
Sundar C., hero of Sanda, sings 'Vaadi Yenkappa'. With Dhina's touch, the remix of the popular yesteryear number is stylish and appealing, one of the hit songs of the album.
Of the five songs, 'October Mathathil' and 'Vaadi Enkappa' stand out.
