Director Gauthaman is a happy man, for the serial Santhanakkaadu directed by him has ended after completing 25 successful weeks on TV. The beauty is that his serial's TRP ratings remained high till it completed its last episode. Only now, after its completion, other serials are able to compete for the first spot. Now the director and the makers have decided to celebrate the success of this serial.
Director Gauthaman, who also directed the film Kanavey Kalaiyathey, got immense recognition through this serial which helped him bag two more films. Sivashakthi Pandian, who also produced Kanavey Kalaiyathey, will produce one of these films. Gauthaman said he has been working on the script of the other film for about 12 years now, a script based on the novel Thalaimuraigal by Neela Padmanaban, which was translated into many major languages of India and is considered as one of the 10 best novels of India.
The function to celebrate the success of Santhanakkadu will be held on July 16, 2008, will be attended by many VIPs from Kollywood and the political world of Tamil Nadu.
