Director Saran is one of the few young directors in Kollywood who has already carved a niche for himself. Most of his films like Kadhal Mannan, Amarkalam, Parthen Rasithen, Gemini, JJ and Vasool Raja MBBS were superhits that were liked by both the masses and the critics.
The director’s last release, Vattaram with Arya, was an average grosser. Now, Saran is back with his next film, titled Modhi Vilayadu. Saran has roped in the up-and-coming Vinay for his male lead. He is also trying to cast Bollywood bombshell Tanushree Dutta for the female lead and will be going to Mumbai soon to narrate the story to her.
Talking about the film, Saran says that it will be an action-cum-romantic entertainer. Noted writer S. Ramakrishnan pens the dialogues for the film while Bharadwaj, a Saran constant, will be the composer.
The director also reveals that he has been approached to direct the Tamil remake of Jab We Met with Trisha in the lead role. But he adds that nothing has been finalized as yet.
