Sarath Kumar, president of Nadigar Sangam quit his post when he launched his political party Akhila Indhiya Samathuva Makkal Katchi on August 31st. He had submitted his resignation on Thursday, September 6th to the Sangam.
The executive committee met on Sunday, September 9th to discuss the issue. After their meeting they decided not to accept his resignation. Sarath Kumar has agreed to their decision.
The actor will continue to hold the post until the end of his two-year tenure.
