Director Sasi, who has superhits like Sollamale, Roja Kootam and Dishum to his credit, is back in Kollywood after a brief absence. After three city-based films, the director has set his fourth film, Poo, in a village.
Poo stars Srikanth, whom Sasi introduced in Roja Kootam, and Parvati, who has acted in successful Malayalam films like Notebook and Flash.
The director says that this film will provide the much-needed fillip to Srikanth’s career, which is not looking good right now due to lack of recent hits. The actor has reportedly put in his very best to fulfil his director’s expectations.
As in his earlier films, Sasi deals with love in this film too. The story is based on a short story 'Veyilodu Poi' by Tamilselvan. The director says he has done full justice to Tamilselvan’s story through his script.
