Actress Shobana’s Kalarpana Culture Centre brings a stage-play "Maya Ravan”. The idea behind this play is to revive the spirit of our culture and traditions amongst the generation that seems to have lost touch with it.
While speaking in the press meet convened to announce this play, Shobana said that she is proud to present “Maya Ravan”, which is an endeavour of her cultural centre Kalarpana. She said that Kalarpana will be involved in many such endeavours in future, which will serve as guardians of our culture. "Maya Ravan" had done well in several cities of America and completed a successful round in Chennai earlier. This is the second time the play is coming to Chennai. She said that she is dedicating this play to her aunts Lalitha, Padmini, and Ragini.
The play will be staged at Music Academy on June 18, 2008. Many eminent artists like Revathi, Suhasini, Naseeruddin Shah, and Tabu have rendered their voices to the characters in this play.
Revathi, Suhasini, and actor Vineeth were also present at the press meet.
