Though actress Sangitha’s has played roles that show her to be bold, in reality she is a very shy girl. The image of “bold girl” got stuck with her because of her efficient portrayal of the roles she played. She might be outspoken but she is a very shy girl.
This is the reason she felt so uneasy while filming for Dhanam, in which she plays a devadasi. Throughout the film, she had to wear her sari provocatively, and this made her very uneasy and extremely shy. The crowd gathering to ogle at her made her more conscious; she froze and was unable to act.
But the considerate director Kausalya Rani and producer G. Siva came to her rescue. They gave her a short break; when she came back to work, they had covered the shooting spot with screens to block the view of outsiders. Sangeetha is very thankful to the filmmakers for this consideration.
