Monica gets her big break with Silandhi, a romantic thriller, which is expected to hit screens by March end or early April, produced by Coimbatore-based film distributor P. Sankar. This is the directorial debut of Aadhi, a journalist has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues.
The film, which is the first full-fledged role for Monica, has its share of intimate romantic scenee between her and hero Munna. All the scenes have been aesthetically shot.
There is another pair in the film, Reshma and Abhay, who even share an intimate onscreen kiss. Riyaz Khan plays an important role in the film.
Most of the film has been shot in Pondicherry. Captured on camera by Bowsia Fatima, the film promises to be a treat for the eyes.
