A heartbroken Silambarasan and his father T. Rajendar held a press meet to clarify on the car theft issue. Simbu provided a new dimension to the 'news', providing proofs to substantiate his version.
Earlier, rumours were circulating that Simbu's car driver had abandoned Simbu and his brother Kuralarasan, who were partying in a hotel. Later, it was said he just followed Simbu's mother's instructions.
But all this has been denied by Simbu and his father. In this press meet, they told everyone what really transpired. So what is the real story? Read on...
Simbu was in Sri Lanka filming for Silambattam when he received a phone call from his mother stating that his brother Kuralarasan’s car was stolen. He asked her not to panic, to look for the driver and ask him about the car. But next day, he received a phone call from his mother, stating that every attempt to trace the car was futile. Simbu returned to Chennai only on September 14th.
Simbu even said that he is ready to prove in any court about his trip to Sri Lanka on the days when the car was said to be stolen.
Simbu dismissed all these rumours as an attempt to malign his image. He also lamented that people are mistaking him for his onscreen persona, which is a complete contrast to what he is in real life.
Simbu’s father, T. Rajendar, also said that he will be compelled to drag anyone vilifying Simbu to the Human Rights Commision or to court.
