Tamil film industry has been bothered by a freak streak of accidents at shooting locations. First, S.J. Suryah got injured while filming a chase sequence for Newtonin Moondram Vidhi, then Kajal Agarwal got injured while filming for Modhi Vilayadu, and most recently, actor Prasanna got injured in a stunt sequence in Achamundu Achamundu. The jinx is still continuing. Now, Simbu was injured while filming a song (Tamizh endra naanoru tamizhanada) for Silambattam.
Simbu injured his left knee rather seriously while attempting a difficult dance move which required him to “whirl around, land on his knees, and then walk on his knees”. Simbu, while attempting this shot for the third time, lost his balance, landed heavily on his left knee and injured it badly. He was admitted to a hospital. He is doing fine now, but will be out of action for a while.
Galatta.com wishes Simbu a fast recovery.
