The most-hyped-about movie of the decade, Sivaji, starring superstar Rajinikant and Shriya has obtained exemption from entertainment tax after the Commercial Taxes Department has agreed that the title of the film indeed comes under proper noun category. Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi had earlier announced that entertainment tax would be exempted on all Tamil movies carrying Tamil titles. The State government has accepted that Sivaji is a Tamil title and the movie would enjoy entertainment tax exemption.
