The biggest film of 2007, Sivaji held its Silver Jubilee function yesterday evening in the presence of the Chief Minister. All the people involved in the making of the film, including producers AVM, director Shankar, Superstar Rajinikanth, actress Shriya, lyricists Vaali, Vairamuthu, actors Suman, Raghuvaran and Vivek, art director Thota Tharini and all the other cast and crew members were honoured by the CM.
Speaking on the occasion, CM said that he was very happy to be part of every success of Rajinikanth and wished him many more such successes in future.
The Superstar talked about Robot, his next film with Shankar, and felt confident that the film would be very successful.
Also present at the function were Rajinikanth's wife Lata, daughter Aishwarya along with husband Dhanush and daughter Soundarya. Also present were Abirami Ramanathan, Jeeva and wife Supriya, Jittan Ramesh and many other leading lights of Tamil Cinema.
