The Lingam Theatres presentation Sivamayam, directed and produced by Sanjayram, is based on true incidents.
The film has Shyam as the protagonist and Prakashraj in a pivotal role. Shyam is donning three get-ups in this movie: One character has a moustache; the second also has a beard; the third has close-cropped hair and a clean shave.
The film has Sridevika in a village girl’s role and Megha Nair in a character with a funny and interesting name – Side Dish Saraswathi.
The story of the film, according to its director-producer Sanjayram: The story revolves around Shyam and Prakashraj, two central characters of the movie. Shyam’s character resembles that of Mahabharatha’s Arjun and Prakashraj’s character resembles Mahabharatha’s Dhronacharya. The story is based on true incidents that took place in Chennai in the past five years (details of the incidents were not divulged).
This film is slated for release in August 2008.
