It is usual for Simbu’s films to have more than one leading lady. So, when Sana Khan was announced as the sole female lead for his forthcoming Silambattam, many were left wondering.
But now, the unit has roped in the girl with the infectious smile, Sneha, to pair opposite Simbu. Sneha will appear in a flashback sequence on which the entire story is based.
The shooting of Silambattam is currently underway at Kumbakonam. Cinematographer Saravan is turning director with this film. However, he doesn’t handle cinematography in this film. Instead, Madhi, who made a mark in Veyyil, has been roped in to can the film.
Music for the film is by Yuvanshankar Raja, who has replaced Dhina, who was earlier announced as the composer.
