Jeyam Ravi’s forthcoming film Dhaam Dhoom is an action entertainer. The film, directed by cinematographer-director Jeeva, is ready for Pongal release. A major portion of the film has been shot in Russia. It was while shooting the Russian portions that Jeeva suffered a fatal heart attack.
The film is said to be a treat for action fans. A notable aspect of this film is that a US stunt director, Chris Anderson, who has worked in Spielberg’s War of the Worlds, has choreographed the stunt sequences in Russia.
Jeyam Ravi is said to have taken great risks for the stunt sequences. He has even jumped across buildings that were 40 feet apart without taking the services of a dupe.
The stunts sequences in India are choreographed by Kanal Kannan and Thyagarajan.
Kangana Ranaut, who created waves in Bollywood with her films Gangster and Woh Lamhe, is one of the female leads. She plays the role of an educated village belle. The other leading lady, Lakshmi Rai, appears as a lawyer in Russia.
As in all other Jeeva flicks, Harris Jayaraj scores music for lyrics of Pa. Vijay and Na. Muthukumar. S. Ramakrishnan is in charge of the dialogues while Thotta Tharani takes care of the sets. V.T. Vijayan is the editor. Apart from writing and directing the film, Jeeva also handled the cinematography.
The team promises that the film will be an action treat for fans during Pongal.
