Director-turned actor Sundar C. is playing the lead role in Aayudham Seivom where he is paired with Anjali of Katradhu Thamizh fame. The title which literally means ‘Let’s take to arms’ has an interesting caption, ‘Amaidhikaaga’ meaning ‘For peace’.
Sundar plays the role of a rowdy who changes tracks after a particular incident. The film, which is said to be a commercial entertainer, is progressing at a rapid pace.
The film is directed by debutant Udhayan, who is all praises for his hero. He says Sundar has done a lot of homework for his role and has even improved his dancing skills. About Anjali, the director says, the film will make her a force to reckon with in Kollywood.
Music is by Srikanth Deva, who has come out with five rocking tunes. The director has also written the lyrics for a couple of songs.
One unique aspect of the film is that the makers have taken some scenes at the Gandhi Museum in Madurai, where the blood-stained loin cloth worn by the Mahatma at the time of his death is kept even today.
