The press meet of TN 07 AL 4777, the Tamil remake of the Hindi film Taxi No. 9211, took place at Hotel Green Park, Vadapalani. It was a very hospitable event that introduced the film to us.
The finalized cast and technicians’ names were announced. This film is about two people who are poles apart and their adventures, or rather misadventures, when destiny brings them together. Though it is a remake of a Hindi film, elements preferred by Tamil audiences have been incorporated to give it a Tamil feel.
Ajmal and Pasupathi are the two protagonists. Actress Meenakshi pairs up with Ajmal and Simran pairs up with Pasupathi. Music is by Vijay Anthony. The Tamil version is written and directed by A. Lakshmikanthan. R.B. Gurudhev handles the camera and G. Sasikumar takes care of editing.
