Calling all the responsible citizens of the city to run for a cause! With Global Warming a growing concern, it is absolutely necessary that each one of us wakes up from our reveries and gets involved in improving our environment. As a first step, let's join the Hero Ultra Chennai Marathon, whose main sponsor is the Hero Ultra Motors. The day picked for this event is 10th February at the Marina stretch, starting from Anna Samadhi.
There will be five categories of marathons – the 43 km marathon for men, the half-marathon for women, the 6 km marathon for school children, the 3 km marathon for corporates and the 1 km marathon for children with special needs. The winner of each marathon will receive a shield and a cash prize. Entry forms are available at the Anna Swimming Pool, Marina, the Shenoynagar Swimming pool and SDAT Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
