The day of demonstration has come to an end. The Kollywood Hunger strike in protest against the attack on theatres in Karanataka that screen Tamil movies, received support from every member of the Tamil Cinema fraternity. Big stars and small stars joined hands to get across the message that they were distraught with the treatment of Tamilians in Karnataka following the Hogenakal issue.
The strike took place at the Chepauk grounds from this morning. After a day of fasting the protestors sipped their first glass of juice just now. The fast was broken by lyricist Valee and subsequently all present at the Chepauk grounds were seen sipping on the cool drink. But we can remain pretty sure that the stars will not cool off until all is settled in Karnataka. Let us hope that their fasting does not go unnoticed and their petitions unheeded.
