Yesterday marked the 61st year of Indian Independence and everything went off peacefully around the country, thanks to the heightened security cordon drawn around all public places. Many movies were also released on the previous day (August 14th) to take advantage of the long weekend and also to minimize security concerns about first-day-first show hysteria that surrounds a movie’s release.
The day after, August 16th, saw the release of Thiruna, produced by Egai K. Karunakaran and Shanti Karunakaran, directed by M.S. Ravi under Universal Movie Makers banner. The movie launches yet another fresh face, Subash, into Kollywood. The heroine too, is a debutant, Aasin.
The camera has been handled by Adisaya Raj and music has been scored by S.M. Saravanan.
Everyone involved with the movie vouched that it has a great story with a good script and that they are working towards making it into a grand success.
Galatta.com wishes this energetic and idealistic young team all the very best.
