The Jayam Ravi-Genelia starrer Santosh Subramaniam is all set for release on April 12. The film was recently awarded with a U censor certificate. It is learnt that the officials of the Censor Board were very happy with the director M. Raja and congratulated him for presenting a clean entertainer for the whole family.
Santosh Subramaniam stars Jayam Ravi and Genelia in the lead roles along with Prakashraj, Santhanam, Prem G. Amaran, Geetha, Kousalya, Sayaji Shinde and many more. The music for the film by Devi Sri Prasad was released recently and is steadily climbing the charts, thanks to its peppy numbers.
The film is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster Bommarillu, which had Siddharth and Genelia in the lead roles. The film went on to win 8 Nandi Awards in Andhra Pradesh, including one for its female lead Genelia.
The latest buzz in the trade circuit is that producer ‘Oscar’ Ravichandran, after a sneak preview of the rough cut of the film was so mightily impressed that he has purchased the distribution rights for Chennai, NSC and Madurai for a big sum.
