Sathyaraj is doing a variety of roles in Vambu Sandai. In this movie, as already reported by us, he is donning the role of Election Commissioner, a mentally-challenged person and a Kathakali performer.
Of all these roles, the role of the Kathakali dancer is very unique and new to Tamil cinema. Sathyaraj is pioneering this tough role onscreen.
The make-up session for this role took nearly four hours and Sathyaraj has even performed a stunt wearing this heavy make-up.
Vambu Sandai is produced by Jai Mathaji Cine Combines. Story, screenplay, dialogues and direction for Vambu Sandai are by Raj kapoor.
The cast also includes Uday Kiran, Diya, Riyaz Khan, Ramesh Khanna, Manobala, Livingstone along with the director Raj Kapoor in a significant role.
Vambu Sandai will be another remarkable film in Sathyaraj's career.
