Vazhthugal, with Madhavan and Bhavana in the lead, is directed by Seeman. A love story, Vazhthugal chronicles the momentous moments in a young man's life. The film does not contain any English words in its dialogues and will be remarkable and unique like the actor-director combo's earlier project Thambi.
Vazhthugal is a Yuvan Shankar Raja musical. Listeners can happily settle down in anticipation of a collection of mesmerizing melodies by the composer. Yuvan fulfills listeners' expectations through all seven songs in the album.
'Chinna Chinna' is a tidy melody. The rendition is mellow and moving. Singer Swetha's voice bears a striking resemblance to the senior Chithra's.
Haricharan and Mahathi perfectly fulfill their expected roles in the soft number 'Endan Vaanamum'. While Haricharan's voice executes subtle touches, Mahathi's is transformed, resonating in a low pitch. Rahul and Rajakumari present the repeat version of the same song.
Anuradha Sriram and Sri P.P. Saran sound fabulous in 'Unmela Aasapattu'. The lyrics in the song signify the romantic exchange between lovers.
'Kannil Vanthathum' is a poignant number in Haricharan's voice, which glows with a soft and silky feel, establishing the mood.
Haricharan's voice cascades in 'Pookkal Rasithathu'. Listeners should be able to identify yet another dimension of his voice through this blissful number. There is also an attractive instrumental bit in the song.
'Muzhumai Nila' is by Sriram Parthasarathy. Though short, the semi-classical tune is sweet and impressive in Sriram's graceful voice.
Vazhthugal songs tranmit a feeling of serenity.
