Arun Vijay-Sheela starrer Vedha had been slapped with a stay order by a Chennai court when a person named Rajaram filed a case against producer Vasu Bhaskar, claiming that Vasu owed him money. The producer's lawyer informed the court that his client will pay part of the money before the movie's release and the balance after the release. The court has accepted the same and the stay on the movie has been lifted.
