Vedikundu Murugesan with Pasupathy and Jyothirmayee in the lead roles is shaping up well. The film is directed by Murthy who has earlier directed Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar. Annamalai Films, which has produced Sarathkumar’s Vaitheeswaran, is producing the film.
Pasupathy plays Murugesan, a water-lorry driver who is also inclined towards literature. A happy go lucky guy, Murugesan’s literary tastes are quite a contrast to his work. Jyothirmayee is Naachiyaar, a police constable who stresses on doing things orderly. These two contrasting characters find one thing common between them which later blooms into love.
Director Murthy says that he would not have made the film if Pasupathy had not accepted to act in the film as he felt that only the talent actor could do justice to the role. Jyothrimayee had signed up for the project after hearing just two scenes over the phone.
The director says the film is a cocktail of all emotions that will delight all kinds of audiences. 24 days out of the planned 60 days of filming have been completed till date. The film is being shot in Rajapalayam and surrounding areas. The director has planned to shoot all the scenes on location without using any sets.
