At 10.00 p.m. last night, Sathyam Cinemas was abuzz with stars. The reason? The premiere of the much-awaited Vellitherai, produced by Moser Baer, Mirchi Movies and Duet Movies. Right from the launch, through to the music release and now the movie’s premiere, every step of the way, the movie has been making waves.
The movie’s premiere yesterday was attended by a host of VIPs. Director Cheran, Producers' Council President Ramanarayanan, Producer Muralidharan, Producer Swaminathan, Lyricist Na. Muthukumar, Actor Narain and wife Manju, Director duo Pushkar and Gayathri, Director Priya V. and Moser Baer COO Dhananjayan were among those who graced the event.
While the movie was screened, there was total silence as every member of the audience watched with total attention. And once the movie was over, the response was amazing. The unanimous verdict was that the movie is as good as its Malayalam counterpart and its success is assured!
Prakashraj, Prithviraj, Lakshmi Rai, M.S. Bhaskar, Director Viji and Art Director Prabhakar were the Vellitherai team members present at the premiere and were visibly happy with the way the audience responded to the movie!
