The audio of Vellitherai is to released shortly. The audio release function will be held innovatively and will celebrate 75 years of Tamil Cinema. It will also have a Isai Vizha. Prakash Raj’s Duet Movies is producing the film along with Moser Baer Entertainment.
Vellitherai has Prithviraj, Prakash Raj, Gopika and Lakshmi Rai in the lead roles. It is the remake of the Mohanlal-Meena starrer Udayanaanu Thaaram, a super-hit in Malayalam.
Music for the film is by the young and talented G.V. Prakash Kumar, who is said to have come up with stirring melodies.
The event will honour the living legends of Tamil cinema who have enriched Tamil film music with their contributions. ‘Mellisai Mannargal’ M.S. Viswanathan – T.K. Ramamurthy, P.B. Srinivas, P. Susheela, S.P. Balasubramaniam and Vidyasagar are some of the titans who will grace the occasion.
Also, three upcoming directors who have made path-breaking films be honoured. The directors are Radha Mohan, Ameer and Venkat Prabhu, who have made Mozhi, Paruthiveeran and Chennai 600028 respectively.
For the first time in the history of Tamil music, the audio will also have a karaoke CD along with the album with which music lovers can sing along and enjoy the music. Prakash Raj is also starting a new label Duet Music which will release the album.
